The office of Governor Baker has announced a 4-phase reopening plan for Massachusetts. The first phase of the plan is already underway, with places of worship, essential businesses, and non-emergent medical care resuming work last Monday, May 18. This Monday, May 25 is the second deployment date of Phase 1 - with personal services (barbershops, hair salons, pet grooming, etc), exterior car washes, life science laboratories, childcare services, public outdoor areas, and offices (not in the Boston area) reopening with restrictions and guidelines. Residents are encouraged to remain at home, wear masks in public, and the “stay at home” advisory has become a “safer at home advisory”. Phases 2-4 of the plan have not been announced, however officials note that each phase will last approximately 3 weeks.
